Marriage & Transfers Sept 24, 2017

What up Fam and Friends!! Iakwe Iakwe!! Mauri Mauri!! Ej et ami mour? Kam uara?
I am getting a lottt better at keeping Marshallese and Kiribati separate. I rarely have slip ups now.
First off Shout out to my little sis Brynlee (Babes) for going to her first high school dance andfer her turning 16 this coming week on Sunday, October 1!!! Happy Birthday!!

Well this week was another week in the missionary life. We picked up 4 new investigators this week, so total we probably have about 30 or more hahha. Its hard to keep them all studying, especially when i am trying to run this Kiribati Branch too.

So marriage. Lets talk about marriage. That is a frustrating thing. For Marshallese people marriage is a joke. We have so many families that can get baptized, but they can't, why? #Marriage.
I try and explain to them that marriage is nothing different than what they are doing right now. All it is is a piece of paper in the gov. and $10 fee. There isn't and tax changes like there is in America. Its so frustrating. They just are like "i dont know if i am ready" dang its frustrating. BEcause this thing is what is holding them back from getting baptized. Well we will continue to just pray for them i guess.

A miracle this week was that we got some members to go teach investigators with us!! dang it makes all the difference in the world. This spirit is just so much stronger. And its cool because they share their conversion stories. Please people go help your missionaries in your ward. Don't just pray for the missionaries, but pray for ways for you to help them.

Kiribati Branch this week was good. A Kiribati member finally gave a talk in church!! it was awesome. We had about 13 come this week. Little by little. THen the 30 min class after was about The importance of Families and Temple marriage. It was awesome.
AFter class we set up a big FHE to happen this Thursday at 6pm at the church. All the Kiribati people will come at it will be awesome. Everyone was excited about that. Also the members asked me if we could start doing rescues and i was like "heck yes we can!!!" isn't that an awesome day when they ask you hahaha. It will be easier to run this branch now because i now have access to a car. Catch me cruisin the streets of Majuro haha.

Lastly Transfers, so technically i am not suppossed to know transfers, but living with the AP's you learn a lot of stuff before everyone else haah.
SO of course i will be staying in the same area. But i will be District Leader and i will be getting a new comp. ELder Ross, who was on Ebeye with me and went to Kiribati with me and came back from Kiribati with me. It will be exciting.  Also there will be a new AP, my bro from my intake, ELder House!! i am pumped. My house is going to be sooo fun.
And President is opening another outie this transfer! so there will be 4 outies open in the Marshall Islands and then probably 2 more in the next transfer. so we will have 6 open! finally!!! PRes has been so stubborn on that. and my comp rn. E.DUnn will be going to my home of Ebeye.

Anyway love you all! Miss you guys!

Ij Iakwe kom! Itatangaringkami!!
