Humbled - Mar 26, 2017

what up Fam! and Friends! first of all congrats to those who are getting their mission calls, its an exciting time. second of all missions are freakin hard so be prepared haha. 

So not that much happened this week. Just good old finding. If you guys didnt know Finding is just the "greatest" part of missionary work hahaha. In my very long but thin area with not that many people in my area there are 7 different churches. It is classic Marshallese style to go to the closest Church near their house. So as you can see, it is very difficult work. My area has like a ton of less actives. We have been doing a different style of finding. I thought that we should pass out pictures of Jesus Christ with the Articles of Faith on the back. This has been pretty succesful. We have something to talk about with the people and we also are able to share our beliefs and correct the rumor that they believe about us praying to Joseph Smith. Everyone thinks that. or they think that we will take everyone to Utah once they become a member. anyway we have had some really good discussions with people and are able to answer their questions. 

The work is super hard and i am just so humbled due to the fact that i realize i need God's help in everyhting. Everyone who knows me knows that i am not the most humble person hahahaha, but let me tell yah, this mission has been teaching me a lot. God knows that i need ot be humbled hahahhaah. 

Something fun this week was that I played baseball with a bunch of little kids. It was boys vs. girls. to be honest the girls were pretty good so i had no mercy and was just hitting home runs out the wazooo ahhahhaha dang i forgot how much i love baseball ahahahah. 

Everyone, go outside and play!!!!! get off your dang computers and phones, go play outside hahaha. Thanks Pops for always playing catch with me or bball. Thanks Nate for making me want to be better than you in bball hahahah. Thanks Gpa stoker for tyring to teach my the sky hook shot even though i just laughed and said "thats the olden days grandpa" hahah. Thanks troy and becky for playing bball with me all the time. Its sad that we cant play anymore because you guys have these things called "Kids" haha. Well I love you all. I will try to be a better missionary so that you all can receive more blessings.

Got Hit By A Car

What up Fam! Sorry for the email last week. I was kind of frustrated with the computer and i really missed Ebeye and was kind of homesick and so i just wanted to email my family but the stupid computers here in Majuro are terrible #islandLife. 

Anyway this week was pretty solid. I actually really do like Majuro because i am working in the country side, so not town. im like 30 min a way from town. My area is crazy thin and long. some parts are so thin that there is only room for the road hahah. you have the ocean side and the lagoon side and 10 feet of land in between hahhaha. you can alwasy see both sides of ocean. The downside of my area is that there are not that many people and it takes us forever to bike to their houses. so you know my legs are going to be freakin buff haha. There are tons of trees so i actually feel like im on an island. I drink coconuts all the time! its crazy to see kids just climb up coconut trees and stand in the middle of them and throw me coconuts and use machetes to trim the trees haha. I eat a lot of fish here too because some people just go spear fishing for food. 

My house is a little chapel house that is smaller than my room at home. But i freakin love it because i have a big field and a full court baskteball court and im right on the lagoon side beach. So every morning i wake up at 6:30 and go sit on the beach and watch the sun rise. its pretty dope. and then kids come over before school and we play basketball. 

Because my area is so long we have 4 missionaries and we split it. so basically i have the area that has all of the less active members. so we are doing a lot of work there and also a lot of finding, but we are having success due to hard work and the Lord. 

SO to the story about me getting hit by a car. Mom would it freak you out if i said i had to go to the hospital for 5 days? hahah jk but i did get hit. so i was riding a long and the roads arent very wide and there was a car coming behind me and one from in front of me. And usually the marshallese drivers are smart and will give me the right of way and slow down, but it so happened to be a chinese lady who came from behind me and was probably going 40 mph (didnt really slow down at all) and hit my hand that was on my handle bar, with the car mirror. Dang it was freakn scary. But the good thing was God protected me and I didnt fall or anything and my hand wasnt really injured so i waved the car down (because they didn;t bother to stop) and then they were chinese and didnt know and english and acted like they didnt know they hit me. So i let them go haha. 

Anyway good times. Love the mish (little frustrated with the mish President, but its all good).

i am alive i dont have any time to email. this computer sucks balls. I am in ajeltake. i ride a bike heck ya  a beach cruiser. my area is soooooo skinny and like 15 miles long. #exercise. well im pissed off right now because of this computer. Love you all. sorry i can only email mom and dad but peace. maybe next week the dang computer will work.

What up fam! i found out on Wednesday that i am leaving Ebeye. im super sad about it. i dont want to leave this island. i love ebeye and i feel like i just finally met evryone in my ward, like even the less actives. I will be heading to Majuro to work with Elder Hansen. Hansen is from my intake and i really liked him in the MTC. I haven;t seen him for 5 months so we'll see if hes any different or still the same. I will be working in Ajeltake which is a really long area. what i mean by long is that its not wider than 40 yards and its super long. like my area is "big" like long hahaah idk how to describe it. I believe i will have a car hahahaha. I like to call Majuro, wanna be america. ya i know im gonna have a car, how sad is that. oh well.  I will be heading to Majuro on Monday (funny how in this mission when you get transfered you go by plane hahaha). I will get there monday night which means P-day in Majuro will be done so i will email in about a week and a half. My pdays will be mondays. so sunday in america. 

Mother please send me a package with my jesus sandals, a new memory card 32GB or bigger please. a watch that works #minesBrokenAgain and then some AXE deodorant please because i just had to buy $9 deodorant #imports 

ok love you all! im not too excited to work in Majuro but thats where God needs me.
