WHat up fam! wow so much has happened. So flew into Majuro last week, stayed for 2 days with the ZL and one night went to a kemem which is a HUGE birthday party for a kid who turns 1. i know crazy right, the kid wont even remember the huge bday. then flew to Ebeye and its freakin sweeet here. The island is tiny, 1 mile by a 1/4 mile. but theres like a billion people here. the people here are super poor but always happy. Theres like houses within houses and when i say houses i mean like a little make shift house made out of metal and scrap pieces of wood (probs about half the size of my room at home) and they have like a fam of 6 in there, its crazy. If they have like more than one room they are more wealthy than others. Even though they are sooo poor they feed the missionaries soooo much. We have dinner with a family about every other night and when they feed you they feed you a ton! like i didn't think i would ever have too much food here for dinner but they give us a ton.
So there are a total of 8 missionaries on Ebeye and a senior couple that teaches seminary. there are 6 of us elders and 2 sisters. My trainer is Elder Masur, he's from Vanuatu and is a stud! he doesn't speak that much English so we mostly communicate in Marshallese which is good. He is freakin ripped and can pull chicks like no other hahahah my boy!
Since there is so many people here we always have someone to study with, we have a ton of investigators which is great! also we get to baptize in the Ocean here!! Its super hot and humid here, it rains a lot, and when it rains it pours! I live in an apartment with 3 other elders and i work in the Ebeye 3rd ward.. THere are a total of 3 wards in Ebeye which make one stake (they just barely were made a stake like 2 weeks ago).
This morning i went fishing off the dock and a bunch of little kids came and helped me haha. THe little kids here are the best! they love missionaries and I always same my name is Elder Tankey now because its a Marshallese word that means flashlight and its easier for them to remember. One night me and my comp were walking down the street and a ton of little kids started walking with us and they were like Elder Tankey sing sing! i was like ok lets sing some Justin Bieber, so we sang Baby and they got sooo into it all of them were singing along and clapping there hands it was sooo awesome i was smiling so big. Now when all the little kids see me they say "sing sing!!!" so every night i always have a ton of kids around me and we sing songs ahhaha one of my favorites is "One call away" and then i incorporate some church songs because im a missionary haha.
Sorry if i cant email everyone, we have limited time because all 8 of us missionaries use the same computer, and we are emailing a day early because the internet will be down for the next 10 days, classic Marshall Islands hahah. Love you All! Love the mission!!
Jeramman!
